Wow, well it's been quite a week, traditionally it's the time of year to start winding down work and look forward to taking a load off and enjoying the holidays.
As an entrepreneur, your life doesn't follow a predictable calendar, when the opportunities arise you go with the flow and it's been quite a flow over the last week...
The whole event was organised Justice Williams MBE and was a real celebration of inspirational women who are moving and shaking in the Midlands.
The winner of one of the awards, Woman of the year(pictured below with Justice, on the right) was Georgina Moseley who was the mother of Harry Moseley. Find out more about her and her son here
The only condition was that I reviewed it for the excellent online gig guide that is www.brumlive.com
after thinking about it for a half second I agreed and had a great night watching music that is not really the kind of stuff I would rush out and buy bit still thoroughly enjoyed the experience and energy and you can read the review right here
The other new thing that has happened recently was the launch of my new Walkabout Workshop which was delivered in conjunction at the Birmingham branch of international Photographic retailers Calumet Photographic.
This is a workshop aimed at beginners who want to learn the basics of photography or even refresh their knowledge and to learn practically, how to take better photographs.
We had a small group of enthusiastic learners who embraced the teachings and then braced the cold winter weather as we took to the streets of Birmingham so they could practice the things they had learned in the morning session.
Here's some of the images that were taken during the day
for Acorn Children's Hospice.
Each year BAFTA invite dozens of families who have a poorly child to have some fun and watch a Christmas movie on the biggest screen in the Midlands. It's something I look forward to every year as I see how grateful the children and families are to have a morning out and enjoy a festive film together.
This year it was the new Disney film 'Frozen' which along with some great pre-film entertainment like Balloon Modellers, Face painting and a magician, not to mention the free popcorn, which all helped to make it a lovely time for all.
and is apparently the first veiled woman to be featured in the magazine!
If you get a camera from Santa this year and you're wondering how to use it or even if you just want to take better photographs with your camera phone, then you might like to join me on my Walkabout Workshop which I will have a new date for very soon.
Bye for now
